Iq’ is the sacred wind, the breath of life, and the invisible force that moves through all things. It carries messages from the divine, clearing stagnant energy, and reminding us that we are always being guided by something greater than ourselves. This nawal represents the element of air and the clarity of communication, inviting us to speak our truth, listen deeply, and allow spirit to flow through our words and work. Iq’ teaches that breath is sacred; the same breath that sustains our bodies animates the cosmos. By bringing awareness to our breathing, we tap into our creative potential and become fully present.
The number 3 brings introspection, reflection, and inward focus, asking us to turn our attention within, listen to the inner voice, and connect with the breath as a pathway to self-discovery. Today, 3 Iq’ invites us to breathe with intention, to listen inwardly before speaking outwardly, and to trust that the messages we seek are already whispering within us on the sacred wind.
Early this morning, a stomach bug hit me hard.
I’ve been struggling all morning, my digestive system doing what it needs to do to purge whatever invaded it. I’m starting to feel a little better now. All I’ve had or wanted today is coconut water.
There have been many moments today when all I could do was sense my breath going in and out. Inhale. Exhale. Repeat.
To stay present to the moment. The breath is still flowing. The breeze is still blowing. And for that, I am grateful.
Today I had no choice but to turn within. To listen to my body with all my attention. To honor what it was telling me: Rest. Stop. Breathe. Let go.
When you are sick, the world narrows to the body. Today, lying in bed, unable to do anything but breathe, I felt that truth in a different way than when I am well.
The wind knows the way. Even when the body is weak, the breath keeps flowing.
Maltiox, Nawal Iq’.
