3 K’at — This I Trust

In the sacred Mayan calendar, 3 K’at brings movement to the threads that bind and define us. K’at is the nawal of gathering, harvest, entanglement, commitment, and release. It is the net we cast through our choices, relationships, beliefs, and obligations. It shows us where energy is tied up, where devotion has become knotted, and where something ripe is ready to be gathered or gently set down. The number 3 adds inward motion, awareness, and creative tension, inviting conscious adjustment rather than forcefulness. Under 3 K’at, we are asked to notice how our beliefs shape us and to choose with care which concepts we will continue to hold and cherish.

I don’t believe in God.
I don’t believe in Jesus.
I don’t believe in Buddha.
I don’t believe in organized religion.
I don’t believe in nationalism.
I don’t believe in any -ism.
I don’t believe in hate.
I don’t believe in statistics.
I don’t believe in the news.
I don’t believe in permanence.

This I believe.

I trust nature.
I trust sunrise and sunset.
I trust the dirt beneath my feet.
I trust blooming flowers and falling leaves.
I trust the breath.

I breathe trust.
I breathe love.
I breathe joy, confidence, gratitude, and compassion.

I believe in love.
I believe in letters and language.
I believe in the power of honest conversation.
I believe in the body.
I believe in the mind.
I believe in the heart.

I believe in humanity, imperfect and evolving.
I believe in the planet, alive and wise.
I believe in family, blood and chosen.
I believe in the beauty of friendship.
I believe in art as a form of truth-telling.

Above all, I believe in the here and now.
This moment.
This breath.
This life, unfolding exactly as it is.
