How to be Soulful

"The most important teaching of all is that we are each where we need to be when we need to be there, learning the lessons that we need to learn."

I have some exciting news to share! I'm working on a new guidebook. It's called Soulfulness: 28 Daily Life Practices for Shadow, Body, Mind & Heart. The inspiration for Soulfulness came from my piece on Elephant Journal, 18 Spiritual Teachings that Blew my Mind Wide Open. Nearly half a million people have read that post; it's by far my most popular. I am turning 35 at the end of the month, and as a way of celebrating and commemorating this personal landmark, I want to write a short book that outlines the practices I have found most helpful and transformational in my life, in the hope that it will inspire others to live more mindfully, peacefully and happily. The book is divided into four parts, each of which has seven chapters. The first section, on shadow work, contains meditations on forgiveness as well as sections that explore anger, fear, shame and death.Part two, on the body, outlines the importance of our breath, the yoga of movement, and body awareness, body acceptance and body transcendence.Part three, which focuses on the mind, shares practices related to concentration, emotion, intuition, and insight. The final section, with heart-opening practices, covers metta, compassion, letting go, love and more.I'm in the middle of writing and aiming to have the first version ready to share with you by the end of the month! Thanks for being here. With love,Michelleganesh gandhi buddha hand graphic
