12 K’at – Bundling Life’s Wisdom

K’at is the net: the sacred web of interconnection, community, and the truth that all of us are bound together in one living system where separation is an illusion. K’at teaches us to ask what we’re carrying on our journey and what we’re ready to release, recognize that every connection matters, and honor the spider’s work of weaving relationships, networks, and the intricate patterns that hold life together.

12 brings reflection, life experience, wisdom accumulated over time, and the energy of looking back at the journey to understand what it all means. It asks us to bundle our experiences, see the patterns, and share what we’ve learned.

Today, 12 K’at invites us to bundle our life experiences to cultivate wisdom and clarity, reflect on the connections that have shaped us, and see the web of our lives from the perspective of time and accumulated understanding.

Guided Meditation for 12 K’at

Close your eyes and imagine a spiderweb glistening with morning dew. Each thread represents a connection in your life: people, experiences, lessons, choices. Trace the web backwards through time. See how one connection led to another and how seemingly random encounters created the pattern of your life. Notice which threads are strong, which are delicate, and which have held you when you were falling. Breathe gratitude for the web that holds you.

“I accept all of me. I will learn to know me.
I will become truly who I am. I will look after life.
Death will take care of itself.”
– Tracey Emin

Buddha said: “The path to awakening is joyful at the beginning, joyful in the middle, and joyful at the end.”

I am back in Texas, in my parents’ home, in the same room that held so much of my emotional and mental suffering last summer.

Another full circle. Half moon. Quiet dark morning, awakening after a deep rest, recharging after the travel here.

Grateful for those TSA workers who did show up for their job at the Houston airport and the relative ease with which Jade and I journeyed here.

Looking back on the fire of passion in my heart that has led me to this here and now.

My love for my parents and brother and sister and relatives, friends, and pets as a little girl.

My love for yoga, established in 1993, when I was 12.

My love for learning and studying life, people, stories, and connections.

My love for Guatemala, deepening ever since I moved there in 2009 at age 29.

My ongoing and ever-present love for Bladi and Jade, our pets, friends, relatives.

My love for my work. For retreat. For the Sacred Mayan Calendar.

For this breath, this day, this moment, this existence.

Every thread of love connecting to the next. Every choice leading to another.

Maltiox, Nawal K’at.
