In the sacred Mayan calendar, 6 Ajpu carries the energy of harmony, flow, and embodied illumination. Ajpu is the nawal of the sun, the hero’s journey, spiritual maturity, and conscious leadership. It represents the human being who has walked through darkness and emerged with wisdom, humility, and light to share. The number 6 brings balance and rhythm, helping energy move smoothly rather than in extremes. 6 Ajpu reminds us that true radiance comes not from striving or proving, but from integrating our experiences and living in alignment with our inner truth.
I have a deeply ingrained desire to be self-sufficient, independent, sovereign, and free. That impulse has shaped many of my choices. At the same time, I am actively working to release a more insidious pattern: the belief that I must achieve to be worthy of happiness, love, and rest.
Last May, I deliberately extracted myself from my day-to-day life and flew solo to London. I thought I wanted solitude. Space. Retreat. Instead, in that moment, what I needed was help, support, family, and familiarity more than isolation. I reached out and received support. Not necessarily perfectly or gracefully, but honestly and humbly.
Since then, I’ve expanded into more frequent vocal expressions of love to my partner, daughter, parents, and close friends. I express care and appreciation more freely, including toward myself. This widening of the heart is consciously chosen interdependence.
I’ve also expanded into writing as a creative act and daily practice. Where 2024 was a year of relatively little writing, 2025 has been prolific. I began experimenting with daily written reflections on the energies of the sacred Mayan calendar, and now I’ve been writing nearly every day for close to three months. It feels right. Steady. Rooted. I’m becoming ever more at home with myself and my choices.
I remain committed to breath, yoga, meditation, and to cultivating deeper, more meaningful connections with family and friends. A few months ago, I felt spontaneously drawn to the Gene Keys, and I sense a subtle expansion as I absorb those teachings. Expansive is my key word for 2026.
I know that my greatest natural resource is my attention: where I place it, how steady it is, and how passionately I tend it. I no longer frame life in terms of success or failure. There is only what is and lessons being learned.
Freedom is responsibility toward what is. It is full presence. Full commitment to the moment. Not escape. Not running away. It is standing in the light of lived experience, awake, integrated, and willing.
