The Iq Trecena: 13 Days of Change, Inspiration & Communication

My dream is happening. Leading retreat. Sharing sacred space and ceremony. Sharing love, gratitude, presence, patience, peace. A meaningful life. I'm immersed in the dream I had as a young adult. Teaching, writing, living free, living how I want to live.
My dream is immersion. In Spanish, in yoga, in mindfulness, in color, in culture, in love.
My dream is to enjoy the joy as well as the sadness and everything in between. Each moment is a gift.
The other day, I fell into the lake for the second time in my life. I've got the bruises to prove it. (They look bad but I'm not in pain.)
I've got the residual embarrassment but just have to laugh (cry) giggle (sob) chuckle (weep).
And I'm so lucky. And I'm so grateful I didn't get hurt, just wet. (Sopping.) I didn't lose my devices, just the chargers. It was a wake-up call. Pay more attention. Be more patient. (For example: Wait For The Boat To Get Closer To The Dock!) No rush. No fool. No starry eyes. Lighten up. Be present.
It was a baptism, that unintentional swim. The end of an old chapter, and the beginning of a new one. Mama Atitlan welcoming me home.

What do the winds of change have in store for us this time around?
These two weeks are an ideal time to focus on inspiration, breathwork and pranayama, imagination, and communication (written, verbal, body language).
We're smack dab in the middle of our inaugural Yoga & Mayan Cosmovision retreat. It's going swimmingly. Four women, two teachers and two learners—but really four lifelong student teachers. Seekers on the path, learning about the spiraling cycles of time passed down through the centuries from the ancient Maya, the science and math of life's daily energies, from their teachers in the stars. (The next one is from September 3-9, 2022 ~ join the circle!)
I'm excited to be celebrating my DOUBLE birthday on Monday, May 30. My 42nd Gregorian-calendar birthday is also my Mayan birthday this year (6 Kej). It's a once-in-a-lifetime event! I'll commemorate the day by sweating in a sauna with two soul sisters and then hosting a small fiesta at my house in the late afternoon 'til sunset.
The spirit animal of Iq is the hummingbird.
