Imox is the cosmic womb of existence from which all life comes, the primordial ocean of collective consciousness. It is emotional, ultra-sensitive, magic and wisdom fused, representing water in all states and the great dream from which reality is conceived. Imox is a feminine sign that can be unstable, creative, inspiring, dramatic, and exciting, embodying the essence of unity in all things and the fountain of life in its most pure and simple manifestation.
The number 4 brings physicality, grounding, material stability, logic, and practicality, asking us to examine the concepts and beliefs that create our reality and to structure, re-order, and bring ideas into the physical world.
Today, 4 Imox invites us to ground our dreams in the earth plane and to bring our creative waters into tangible form. Take the dream from the primordial ocean and plant it in soil. Earthy, watery creativity is made real through this energy.
How has my life revolved around Strength so far this year?
I am flexing my writing muscles. I’ve been writing daily for the past 8 months, right here on this blog. I started without fanfare in October on 1 No’j with the intention of writing every day for the 260-day cycle. I’ve surprised myself by keeping up with it, even on days when I feel I have nothing to say.
A few weeks ago, I started working on a memoir manuscript with the goal of spending 40 minutes per day working on it. Although that hasn’t happened every day, I am now in the middle of Chapter 5 (of 15 chapters in my outline). I’ve written about my childhood and teenage years so far, and I’m in the college era now. I face fierce resistance on most days, yet I am driven forward by the strength of my desire to tell the story of my life so far, even if just to myself. The memoir is based around the framework of the Mayan Nawales—the energy of each year I’m writing about as well as my own personal Nawales.
I have felt strong even as I’ve opened up to the vulnerability of being in therapy again after a 9-year hiatus and as I’ve entered into counseling with my husband for the first time ever in our 14 years together with the hope of moving through our trauma-bonding habit-patterns that kept arising so often throughout the first part of this year especially.
I feel the strength in my choices around prioritizing my partnership and family while also giving myself the time to meditate, breathe, practice yoga, and write on the regular.
Maltiox, Nawal Imox!
This is a version of something I wrote this morning during a monthly women’s writing circle led by my friend and teacher, Aimee Hansen. Learn more here about her Spacious Heart online writing circles! Join us in June.
