1 E’ invites us to
- take the first step on a new path
- plant seeds of intention for the journey ahead
- begin a 13-day trecena of walking our spiritual road with purpose and connection
E’ Trecena Overview
The E’ trecena is a 13-day journey through roads, paths, and spiritual destiny. E’ represents the road of life: both the physical paths we walk and the spiritual journey of our souls. These 13 days call upon us to honor our journey, recognize that we are exactly where we need to be, and walk our path with intention and awareness. E’ also governs travel, movement, and the understanding that life is a pilgrimage.
During this trecena, pay attention to the literal and metaphorical roads you’re walking. Where is your path leading you? What detours have taught you the most? What destination are you moving toward, and why? The E’ trecena reminds us that the journey is the destination, every step matters, and we are all fellow travelers on this sacred road.
Sometimes my steps are sure, confident, strong, and full of vitality. Sometimes my steps are slower, more careful, and less certain. Sometimes I misstep.
Today and during this trecena, my intention is to repave my path with pebbles of love. To do everything for love, with love, and in love.
Self-love. Love for my family, pets, and friends. Love for my community. Love for strangers I’ve never met and never will meet but nonetheless share this human condition with. Love for the world. Love for all beings without exception.
I honor my feet and how they allow me to walk, dance, and move on my path.
I ask for protection and guidance from Spirit and the ancestors.
I give gratitude for both my spiritual path and literal travels, which today will take me down to the Panajachel dock and across the lake to the little forest and cabin where I feel most at home on the planet.
Maltiox, Nawal E’!
