8 Aj – The Wholeness of Home

Today, 8 Aj invites us to concentrate on harmony in the home and family. We are called to be like a cornstalk, both strong and flexible. It’s a day to celebrate community through ceremony and to honor our role as compassionate leaders who serve the collective good.

Guided Meditation for 8 Aj

Close your eyes and imagine yourself as a tall bamboo stalk. Your roots go deep into the earth, drawing nourishment, stability, and grounding. Your stalk rises toward the sky, reaching for light and Spirit. Feel how you bend but do not break as the wind blows. You are flexible and resilient. Widen your perspective to see the field around you. You stand with your family and community to cultivate abundance, beauty, gratitude, and a sense of home. Place your hand on your heart. This is your altar. This is your center. You are the bridge between earth and sky, between strength and ease.

Heart of Home

The sense of belonging
in this body
in this space
in this place
at this time:
Priceless.

The value of feeling at home
in this skin
with these bones
with this belly
with this heart-mind:
Infinite.

Time travel up the cornstalk
Up the staff of the community leader
Up into the third eye, the pineal gland
Up into the heart of the sky
Down into the base of the spine, legs, and feet
Down into the roots, into the heart of the earth
Into the center, your own beating human heart,
Your own orchid blossom.

I come home to the place I never left.
I breathe in stillness
I stretch my fingers toward the sun, moon, and stars.
