Ix is the nawal of jaguar medicine, Mother Earth, nature’s magic, and the fierce feminine power that protects, nurtures, and transforms with equal intensity. It represents our connection to the natural world and to the untamed parts of ourselves. This energy embodies the jaguar: stealthy, powerful, protective of her territory, able to move between worlds, and deeply attuned to the rhythms and mysteries of the natural realm.
Ix teaches us to recognize that we are not separate from nature but woven into its fabric, and to take concrete action to protect and restore the Earth. 8 brings wholeness, completion, infinite balance, and potent ceremonial energy. Today, 8 Ix is a powerful day to celebrate Mother Earth and do something tangible to help her: plant a tree, clean up a beach, reduce waste, make an offering. Spend time in wild places with gratitude and reverence. Honor the wild within and around you, seeing that everything is sacred.
It’s time for the matriarchy to rule the world.
Down with the oppressive, dysfunctional, greedy, violent capitalist militaristic patriarchy that has brought us to the brink.
Today, the jaguar merges with the infinite. The number 8 brings wholeness, ceremony, the sacred balance of masculine and feminine restored. Ix—fierce Mother Earth, protective jaguar, untamed feminine power—roars her truth.
Let’s sing our unique soul songs. Let’s bring forth our most powerful magic. Let’s honor Pachamama not with words but with action, with reverence, with the radical transformation our humanity so direly needs.
The jaguar does not ask permission. She moves. She protects. She transforms.
Be her.
Maltiox, Nawal Ix.
