E’ is the nawal of the sacred road, the spiritual path, and destiny representing our life’s journey, the choices that shape our direction, and the understanding that every step we take is part of a larger pilgrimage toward our highest purpose. This energy governs physical and spiritual travel, the exploration of new landscapes both outer and inner, and the courage to leave familiar territory in search of something truer, deeper, more aligned with who we are becoming.
E’ teaches that the path itself is sacred and that we learn and grow most profoundly through movement, pilgrimage, and saying yes to the journey even when we cannot see where it leads. 6 brings stability, flow, balance, and the warmth of family. It is the energy of ideal conditions, things coming together harmoniously, and support and security on the journey.
6 E’ is an exceptionally auspicious day for travel: to begin a physical journey with confidence and safety, embark on a spiritual practice with stability and support, or recommit to the path you’re walking with renewed clarity and trust. On 6 E’, the road is calling, and you are ready. Travel with stability and security, trust the path beneath your feet, and know that every step is taking you exactly where you need to go.
My Mayan Path
The path I’m currently on involves studying and living with the energies of the sacred Mayan calendar, day by day.
This is not a path I chose so much as a path that chose me. Or perhaps more accurately: a path I stumbled onto 16 years ago when I moved to Guatemala, knowing absolutely nothing about the Maya, their calendar, or their cosmovision. I was young. When I landed on the shores of Lake Atitlán, something in me recognized home.
Over the past decade, I have learned and deepened my passion for this vast field of ancient knowledge and wisdom through my work as an interpreter at fire ceremonies, by being a student of both Mayan elders and Western scholars, and in the daily practice of tracking the energies as they spiral through the 260-day sacred count. Each day is a teacher. Each nawal is a mirror. Each trecena is a journey.
I am honored and blessed to give personal readings to people about their energies based on the sacred calendar. To sit with someone’s birth chart and help them see themselves more clearly is one of the great privileges of my life. It is sacred work. It is also deeply reciprocal work, because every reading teaches me something new about the calendar, about human nature, about the infinite ways the nawales express themselves through different people.
E’ is the nawal of the sacred road, the spiritual path, and the journey that shapes us as we walk it. I am so grateful for this path that has given me a framework for understanding myself and others that no therapy, self-help book, or analysis could provide. It has taught me that we are all walking our own roads, guided by our own energies, and that there is no one right way to be human.
This path is leading me toward writing a book. The writing is happening. The book will be formed in the right moment. This I trust.
The number 6 brings stability, flow, and ideal conditions. And while I do not yet have the manuscript, I do have the foundation. I have over a decade of daily practice with the calendar. I have hundreds of readings. I have thousands of words written in blog posts, essays, and journals. I have the support of teachers, students, and a community that values this work.
The book will come. The path knows the way.
Maltiox, Nawal E’.
